Default Nav system issues

hey all

I have a friend that is experiencing a problem with his nav system. Not sure if anyone can help but here is what he said...

Everything was working fine until I was probing wires to do my alarm install using a volt meter. I unplugged the ECU to test some wires and when I plugged it back in my nav stopped working. When I turn the car on now the display comes on, but it's black with nothing else. The nav system makes two beep sounds. the first is a long beep and then a short beep. I have an updated nav DVD that I need to run a software CD for it to work. I have tried reloading that, but it didn't help. I have also tried putting the original DVD back in there and still no change.

Thanks for asking Nikki.
Since our meet last night I have found that the AC is messed up too. It only blows hot unless you have it set to 60 then it's cool, but anything other than 60 is hot. I'm thinking I need to reset my ECU. I found on here how to do it, but couldn't get it to work. I'm going to ask Danny if he can help since he has a scanner. Any help or info would be great.

Ok, your friend... I was about to ask why you're driving around in the kitchen.

Is that fuse located in the fuse box?

I don't believe it's in the fuse box behind the kick panel. I think it's in the one under the hood.
