Default putting in headunit, what to do with all the wires?

So i need to adjust the wiring for my headunit. pioneer avicf900bt.

I somehow managed a second time to get it all in there, im' groudning some wires for the bypass, but i'm finding it hard to get it in there with the mess of wires behind the headunit. Am i being a retard and not putting the wires in the right area or is it simply an extremely tight fit? I found myself just trying to force everything into place, but id idn't do a good job and couldn't completely get that white box below the headunit back in... thus, theres a bulge in the exterior plastics..

Just wondering if im' going about it all wrong and if tehres a technique to all this.

It's basically just a royal pain to put it all in. Take your time and put wires where you can. Either that or just cut 'em off. Are they really that important?

you dont have to attach it to the dash at all, its allot easier to manage just the head unit rather than all of that extra crap

Its not a tight fit at all. I have a steering wheel control module, cubby monitor, etc in mine and have taken the bezel out probably 20-30 times with no problem. Try to clean up the wires best you can with some tie wraps or wire loom. Also, try to get the AC box back in there. It could help clear up some church. Good luck!

Yeah it was pretty easy and extremely useful. The only problem with connecting it to my Kenwood was that it does not allow to use the PWR button on the steering wheel. So I just use that button to mute the radio instead.

Looks intimidating at first because of all the wires, but for our use we do not use but a few of them. And yes, below the AC white box is a great place to put it. Just be careful with the resistors. They are kinda delicate and you can easily break the connection if you just shove the wires back in.

Here is a link that helped me install mine as well as the write up on my project:

That cursed AC box is the biggest roadblock when pulling the H/U. Wires getting caught on the metal mounting frame will make it a pita to tighten on that box.

I find that it's not a lack of space but how they positioned that thing in relation with the wires coming out of the headunit. Theres no slack once that white box is connected.
One of the best solutions is to use small zipties and really organize everything. Get the main RCA wires to run down the side really neat. All the other "thinner" wires get pushed in easier once the main input/output wires are accounted for.
