Question about all new setup
I've done some research and still cant figure out what's best bang for my buck for new audio for the z. I want new speakers, sub, amp, any deck or display that can use and charge my ipod. I am on a tight budget though, what's some good quality things i could get? Links would be awesome. Thanks so much.
Sorry, Budget for everything is about 600-700 dollars. What are best speakers for the 350z? That will fit and i can just order so i can have those atleast.. maybe i dont need sub and amp maybe just head unit for ipod and nice speakers. Do i need a new amp to make new nice speakers work? Sorry im retarded when it comes to car audio.
$600 is a modest budget, but that amount does allow a decent CES if it’s mostly sound you are after (no GPS or video).
Do this for the tear-down:
Do this for the build-up:
At this point, you are at your budget, but you will have very decent sound in your car (but sans a SuBW). Start saving $$ for a SubW (that you connect with the 3rd and 4th channel available on your 4 channel external amp).
Hopes this helps,

Do this for the tear-down:
- Remove the cheap OEM H/U.
- Remove the front OEM component speakers (you will be replacing these)
- Disconnect the rear speakers (they are cheap and only compromise your sound; and you don’t need them).
Do this for the build-up:
- Install a good Single-Din H/U (SD H/U’s are a great value; you can get a good one for $150-$200).
- Buy an intermediately priced 4 channel external amplifier (you can get this for about $200). You want a 4 channel so that you can accommodate your SubW that you add later.
- Get a high-end coaxial speaker (that will cost $150-$200) or a low-end component speaker (about the same cost, but still sounds good). Your budget demands a stock door mount, so that’s where you put the speakers.
