Default Dynamat

Looking to Dynamat my stock subwoofer location and was wondering where the cheapest place to buy. If anyone knows how much is needed for this location, please chime in.

Thanks...

I have used for the past 15 years now and recommend FatMat. It has always worked well for me. Many people have complained in the past about the asphalt odor, but I never had a problem with odor. Plus the product has changed over the past few years to a rubberized compound and it's a lot cheaper than many of the other brand names.

I have had 80 sq ft of older FatMat in my Z for 3 years now and not a single issue with peeling off, or oozing, or odor in the summer sun. I have also installed this in several other project cars over the years, including my Xterra that I had a system in for 5 years before selling it. It's very sticky and is fairly easy to work with.

I used eDead from Elemental Designs: http://www.edesignaudio.com/index.php?cPath=1_24. Stuff is cheap, easy to work with, and pretty dense.

Thanks for the tip guys!

Just bought some Fatmat. It was $25 and should be enough to cover the effected area. Its way cheaper than Dynamat! We shall see how it works inside the stock subwoofer area. Hopefully its enough to enclose my new Fosgate Sub and provided decent bass!

elemental design's edead are still cheaper than fatmat though, just thought you wanted to know. If you compare elemental's comparable stuff to fat mat, it's about half the price of fat mat. The edead80 is pretty easy to work with, just need a pretty sharp scissor, I guess the only convinience is that the fat mat comes pre-cut in smaller sheets. The edead80 comes in a roll, but I rather cut it myself for half of the price.
Just noticed that if you order fatmat in bulk the prices drop to comparable prices to the edead.

I did compare all three products and picked Fatmat for their good reviews and price. I bought roughly 20 sqft and came out to $25 shipped. Edead was charging somthing like 1.75 per sqft ($35). The decision was made easily after comparing prices.

So where did you find Fatmat for $1/square? And did you get the 50, 70, or 80 mil?

Ebay. If I remember correctly its the 70 and comes pre cut with somthing like 7 pieces at 24x36. It was offered by Fatmat and looked like it was a teaser buy to get buyers interested...well i took it!

That's 42 sq. ft. for $25 - that's a dayum good deal.
