Just wonder who has the best price on a Valentine V1 radar detector?? Or should I just mail order it direct from the factory??

There is only one place ( besides ebay ) to buy v1s. The valentine web site. You have made a good choice.

 

I don't think that you'll be able to find one under 400 unless you buy a used one. After you get the remote display, I think that you're around 450.
From what I've read, they are the best! I'd get one myself but I'm moving to Virginia in a couple of days and they're illegal there.

If you want a new one, only place to get it is www.valentineone.com. It's a great detector and it's saved my hiney numerous times!

 

I just got a v1 on wednesday including the concealed display. $400. Ask for the "vacation model." It's 350 as opposed to 400. Its supposed to be a returned/refurbished model. I swear the one I got was brand new. No nicks or scratches anywhere.

 

I have Uniden for $120 and it works just fine too. The only ticket I got with it was when I the cop was aiming at my car from 100 feet away, there was nothing I could do because I came out of the turn. It saved me many times too.

 

valentine controls pricing of their radar detectors. It's almost impossible to find new units cheaper than others. If you did they're probably stolen.
