Default Do alpine 6.5 type R's fit???

I wanted to know if Alpine type R's 6.5 fit into the front doors due to the window clearance?? Anybody have these interior speakers??

I've been an Alpine fan for a while now!

If not, how do infinity's sound compared to bose??? I've read a lot of people talking about the infinity's...Are the Infinity's clear at loud volume??

I do have an 800 Watt 5 channel amp which i plan on using along with a DNX kenwood head unit on the way..SO i know that that makes a huge difference..

One more question...rear 6.5's??? i neeed input on members who replaced those..and if they're worth it or not...because i cant see only 2 speakers cutting it...im not worried about removing the rear panels!!

Thanks a lot everyone...

1. Yes, I have those speakers. Yes they fit. Yes you need 1" spacers, minimum.
2. Infinitys are ok. The highs are clear but are really harsh at loud volumes if not amped and tuned properly.
3. Amp = usual improvement
4. No to the rear 6.5's. Disconnect them.

Alpine Type-R components (SPR-17S) should have a 5-11/32'' cutout diameter. (The Type-R coaxials have a 5-5/16'' cutout diameter).
I got these from alpine-usa.com....

Get the 5.25" as quiksilverx suggested (you might have to make some minor trims as you'll be a few 1/32s undersized).
