Default SPL savvy?

I'm shopping for a H.O (high output) alternator and need some help finding one that's suitable for my setup.

I'm going to be running about 4500 watts RMS, so I need something that will handle the load.

Big 3 upgrade IS done and I'm looking into an accommodating battery as well.

Does anyone have any experience or know of any H.O alternators for this particular setup?

Thanks guys,

Zak

Go to an alternator shop and have then rebuild your alternator for how ever big you need it. Dont forget to redo all your wiring to very large gauge wire so all that extra juice can get through.

Thanks for the link, Kwame.

Randy, would 'rebuilding' my stock alternator be as efficient as buying a high output alternator?

I'm going to be running about 5000 watts RMS in my car. So I'm not sure if 'rebuilding' it would work. Then again, I've never had one rebuild.

What's your thoughts?

Nate, at ExcessiveAmperage.com is building me a 240 amp alternator for about $425. I was also told to check dbelectric on ebay for an alternator. I never did b/c I found what I needed with Nate.

Hope this helps.
