Default Satellite Antenna

My 2005 Touring Z was satellite ready so I found the NISSAN XM reciever and plugeed it in. I dont really like the antenna so, I bought what somebody called a "dead mouse" antenna (28208-CF41A) and the cover for it. Then: oh no! the fittings are different sizes. Does anyone know if this antenna will even work with my system?

So you're saying that the connections won't plug into your stock stereo? I'd call a Nissan dealer and see what they say. Maybe you need some kind of adapter to make it work

Default Antenna

Can you give any advice? Was the car in the picture pre-wired for that?

They are the correct fittings just a little different size. My guess is that the part I have is meant for an 06Z. I could just cut the wires...

My car is an '06 and came with that antenna from factory. Maybe it's like you said, it could be that they changed the fittings in 06 since they changed a lot of other things with the car.

No, sorry. I've never even used my sat radio. I just have it, but it's not activated since I always listen to cd's.

You need part # 28243-CF40B. It's the extension wire that goes from the oem antenna to the oem sat receiver. I have sirius though, I'll check to see if they're the same.

Nooo! You must not cut the antenna wire. Doing so will disable reception, and you cannot fix this without running a new wire.

The antenna piece for satellite receivers are interchangeable The fix is finding the correct adapter to connect the wire to your brand of satellite receiver. It looks as though Forever Z has a part number for you.
