Default Screen with 2 video inputs (cubby)

I own a 2004 350Z.
I'm looking for a screen (normal, not touchscreen) with 2 video inputs.
I want to connect a rear view camera, and as a second screen for my HU.

The farenheit T-7001MHR is one possibility..
But I have read on this forum that this screen has a poor quality for navigation.

What are the other possibilitys for a screen with 2 inputs?
Maybe Xenarc? but they don't fit very well, and I don't want a touchscreen.

-------

EDIT:
I Just read that it's more handy to buy a farenheit t7001mhr and use a a/v switch to control it manually,
so you don't have to use a remote..

What is this for a/v switch device? and where can I buy it?

Thanks!

If you can't find a two input screen fine a tiny toggle switch to take care of your input expansion.

You definitely do not want the Farenheit T-7001MHR. This monitor does support toggling between two different video inputs, but the device has significant disadvantages:
  • The Farenheit T-7001MHR is built cheaply with a lousy case/enclosure. To fit this to your Z, you have to cut a cheap headrest mount, and even with this done the monitor’s electronics are poorly protected.
  • The Farenheit T-7001MHR displays its image poorly with exaggerated colors and contrast.
  • The interface is overly complicated and confusing
  • You toggle between the video sources using the handheld remote control. That means that every time you switch video sources (maybe a GPS and a rearview camera), you must dig-out the remote and press the right switch. If you are driving, you don’t want to do this.

A much better choice is the Farenheit T-7000MHR (this LCD is also sold as Power Acoustik PT-700MHR or NESA Vision NSM-7005 7" monitor). These devices have a better enclosure and provide a better image.

As Paul350Z mentions:

All you need to do is install an A/B switch (to toggle between 2 video sources… maybe a GPS and rearview camera) or an A/B/C switch to change from one to three devices.

Paul posted a thread (now a few years old, but constantly updated by my350z.com members) that will never die. Reading your post, I’m guessing you read this thread. I just added some information to his great thread. See this message to see a good way to connect and power your 7” LCD monitor:

Sorry for the long post. I need to figure out how to provide information without so much detail and length.

@spike, thanks!

Is this switch will do the things I want?

And do you have a internetlink for me with a switch that you use??

I'm gonna buy the 7000mhr

^^ I think that should work (but I've never used the device you linked). It might be overkill if you are just connecting a couple of input devices to a single screen.

You might want to check with crutchfield.com. They have a good support staff that can help you select the part you need.

I built my own video switch using parts from my "electonics graveyard."
