Default Where's a good ground point?

Im installing a gauge on my a pillar and I need to find a grounding point near the foot pedals. There are several bolts on top of the pedals but I do not want to remove them as they may cause danger if I do not tighten it at the OEM spec... Is there any other point above the pedals that's good for ground? I do not wish to wire it all the way to the radio bolt.

Thanks

I've used the ground wire going to the VDC switch for quite a few modules and that works pretty well. If you are in the drivers kick it would be very easy to use a self drilling pan head screw and a crimp on ring terminal for a very solid, very reliable ground.
