Default So how and where do you guys mount a rear usb cable

I'm thinking of getting a head unit with a USB cable that runs out the rear of the unit. I was wondering what was the popular way to run it into the cubby hole or a place I can get to it.

I actually drilled a small hole in the corner of the cubby and ran it through there to connect to my ipod.

Same here... I drilled a hole in the right rear corner of the cubby, installed a rubber grommet (to prevent the wire from slipping or getting scraped), and ran the wire through the grommet.

I had to cut the grommet through its radius since I was unable to thread the USB connector through the grommet. I positioned the wire inside the grommet, and then pushed the grommet to place.

The arrangement looks great, prevents noise entering from behind the dash, and holds the wire so it does not slip or scrape against hard plastic.

Yeap, hole in the back corner of the cubby is the way to go.
