Any issues with Pioneer 4200DVD head unit?
Bypass was extremely easy.

Careful, as the pin numbers on the bypass given in this video might not match up to yours.
I used a 4-pin automotive relay from autozone. This one to be specific:

Simply connect pins 30 and 85 to ground. Connect pin 87 to your green remote turn on wire from the head unit. Connect pin 88 to the remote amp turn on coming also from the head unit. DONE!
Connect pins 30 and 85 to an actual ground point on the car. I tried to connect it to the black and white 'ground' wire with no luck.

Also, dont pay $50 for the pioneer ipod/iphone cable. Here is one for $3
http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2
This will allow your phone to play audio, and charge the phone.
There is adifferent cable that allows you to play audio and video, but not charge the phone.

Alright, now I just need another dash kit and I can finish the install correctly. Normally, I like to do things right the first time, but I was having a REALLY bad day when I installed this and just had to go for a drive and listen to my metal, so rushed the job a bit.
you can try American International dash kits. Check this post for the installed look: https://my350z.com/forum/audio-and-v...installed.html
Finding one from a reputable retailer was difficult and their reps spend little time suggesting locations near you. I just ordered mine off eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

hEY guys, got mine all finished up, although had to get sum help due to having the stock nav, it kinda made things tricky, basically I dont have the voice direction now. Which I dont really use that much anyways, so its all good! Love the HU, cool custom background and color options! There is an orange setting if you want to match the stock dial colors. Unfortunately dont have a camera myself, but did take some with my iphone, hope it is clear enough for ya to see!
Oh one other thing, be very careful when ordering the ipod adapter online! The first one I ordered which was a great price ended up not being long enough, so had to send back and get a longer one. Just a fyi on that, you want to make sure its long enough to reach into your cubby center console.
just installed the p4200dvd, and I'm not getting signal from the radio stations. I checked to make sure the antenna plug is plugged in, and it is. I notice that there is a blue power antenna wire on the harness, is this suppose to be hooked up? if so, to which wire? help please

I fixed the radio reception and got the sd card to read my videos fine. The unit just won't read my Western Digital 80gb Hard drive. Guess I need to find another hard drive
Also, I've read that a USB-powered drive wont work over 250GB. That was my concern with yours. How long are you waiting for it to read the files? Maybe the load time is just ridiculous... Makes me worry about whether getting a 250GB hard drive was worth it if it won't work anyway.
Good to hear. What class SD and what size? Some were saying class 6 sdhc cards would not work, while the class 2 did.
