Default Stock Bluetooth w/ Aftermarket HU

I have a 07 Touring w/Bose and Bluetooth. I am looking to change the BOSE headunit to an aftermarket headunit. I was wondering if I buy a new headunit without bluetooth if I can somehow use my stock bluetooth in conjunction with it? Has anyone done this?

Thanks

I would actually second this question. More so, is the stock BT system in the car itself or the stock deck?

Hey, I've been researching this. It appears it is a separate module but you need your stock unit to use the module. =/

Yeah, the module is in the back under the plastics around the spare tire. It stays in there and your phone will still connect to it, and since you can't reroute the voice activation button on the steering wheel, it'll still control the module. You just can't hear what it's doing in any way shape or form. I still have mine connected and I can even make calls from my phone with an aftermarket radio, you just can't hear the other person, but they hear you.

Your stock Bose HU has the SAT button, right? The Bose from my wife's GT roadster doesn't, and I was considering replacing it with an aftermarket or a stock one with SAT. Any interest? It sucks you can't take all the BT stuff along with it though, as I'd welcome that feature.

Hey Scott -

PM me if you're interested in buying my 2008 Bose headunit. I'll throw in the XM satellite module, bluetooth module and amplifier with it. Everything's in like new condition and it all works perfectly. It all came out of my car two days ago. I've given up on the whole factory/aftermarket integration thing.
