Default Replacing rear speakers with subs?

Has anyone done this? I did a search but couldnt find results..

is it possible to get subs into those things?

I don't think theres enough volume in that area for a sub. I would find it very unpleasant to have a sub firing at the back of my head

JL audio makes 6" wo's which will fit in there nice. I considered this my self.

Alpine Type Rs have pretty good mid bass.

great. i dont want a huge box in the little trunk space that we have. something that could fit in those speakers would be good enough.

Whats wrong with the stock sub area, if your concern about trunk space?
