Default New Radio/DVD installed... Navigator Voice disabled = Normal?

Hello,

I just went to a shop to have a Pionner P4000DVD 'professionally' installed in my 2003 350Z w/ the Factory Navigation.

Now, I can't hear the Navigation Voice at all. Is that normal or the guy did not install it correctly? Before, the voice was talking over the music playing. Now, I only hear the music, no voice... it's a bit hard to get directives.

I guess they did not do the job correctly, because I have no sound from the AUX and iPOD either. Only the Radio/DVD have sound.

I have to go to the shop again regarding the AUX/iPOD... but would like to know if the Voice Navigation is another BUG I need to get fixed, or if it's normal. (that would be stupid though)

ie: I don't want to guy to tell me... "Yeah it's normal, bye bye".

Thanks for the feedback!

It is normal for you to lose the navigation voice when you switch to an aftermarket head unit.

See this thread to maintain voice guidance from your stock OEM Navigation when installing an aftermarket H/U:

Completely normal, mine does the same. Actually just use the GPS on my iphone as it seems more responsive and can put info in quicker than on the ole stock nav! I think there is a part you can get to keep voice on it but i didnt wanna bother as I know my way around most the south lol.
