Default In over my head!!! Help me please

Ok, so I have been reading, and reading and reading.....

I bought an Alpine Ina w900 head unit with the Bluetooth, back up camera and the wheel control ASWI-Jack with the TR7 to lock out the park switch. I also bought an Alpine Sub woofer with an amp that was given to me. I HAVE NEVER installed anything like this ever. I am starting tomorrow and freaking OUT!!

I haven't bought the amp wires yet, so I'm hoping to have the HU and the accessories installed (minus sub/amp)

Ok so where do I Start, the Owners Manual for the HU isn't any help at all. I know how to take the dash apart, but the wiring is making me doubt myself. Pictures would be helpful. I will also try to take pictures as I go. Thanks for any help

Kevin

There's a wiring diagram at the top of this section in the stickies. And nice choice with the head unit, top notch gear. You're gonna want to wait until you can do everything at once, especially since all you're missing is wires. It's not that much fun pulling everything out again and again to rewire stuff.

My $.02:

After taking off the shifter console, put the shift **** back on for the remainder of the head unit install. The threads on an exposed shifter can scratch the screen. Good luck!

Yes pictures would help. Not pictures but a simple wiring diagram that you draw. Head unit to power amplifier to speakers. Identify Right Left positive negative. I like small pieces of paper taped to wires that say where the wire comes from. Example:

PA-R+ (Power Amplifier Right +)

Reason being that wires are often partially hidden.

Save the diagram because 6 months from now you will not remember what wires and what colors go where.

Please make sure you plug your RCA cables / signal (if you plan on wiring it there) in to the back of your headunit before putting your console back on. I would recommend if you're really in that much over your head to just let a professional install the equipment because it's going to be a long process for a first-timer.

well the daY started off bad. First my computer says my350z has a virus so I have to use my phone. So I decided to cut grass while my computer scaned. Got stung in the hand and now its swollen so I decided to go get the wiring. I see how I feel when I get back. Any suggestions on amp wiring I'm going to best buy..

Can anyone tell me where i can tie into the reverse light power!!!!

I need to connect it for my backup camera. I have found a green blue wire that looks like the one in other threads but MY car is an 07 and the harness is different than whats in the pictures for the earlier models.

The one i found comes directly out of the grommet from the driver side turn light inside of the trunk area. IS this one OK?????????

PIC's would be awesome !!

Thanks
