so i need help.
im not sure which mode to put my valentine1.
A,littleL,or L
what are the differences.
ive had problems like when a cop is driving behind me, it doesnt beep, what do i do? i want it to beep for cops especially! i mean..thats why i bought it.. help me out!

 

Ummm radar detectors don't go off when there are cops near you . They go off when a cop has his RADAR on. Hence the term "radar detector"

 

You could always read the owners manual as it explains in great detail what each of the modes do and don't do for you.

If you don't care to make your own informed decision, then put it on A and leave it there.

 

Leave I on the "L" (logic)

 

"A" = everything comes through at main volume.

"l" (Little L) = X and K band alerts come through at muted volume level, and signal lights ramp accordingly. if/when the alert volume jumps to the main volume is programmable.

"L" (Big L) = X and K bands make no sound/visual alert until they cross a threshold.

My V1 has been "programed" to my preferred settings for years, so some of the above information could be off a little.
