Look around craigslist. So far my setup includes:

Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD
2 Alpine Type R 10" subs
Fiberglass Understrut box
Fosgate P500-2
Infiniti 6022i 6.5"s

Total spent so far including wiring = $450-500. All from hunting through craigslist for deals.

Yeah, haha that's what I started doing. I got...

Focal 165KR 6.5" 300 !!
and... Pioneer avh-7500dvd for 220 from someone on my350z!

It's coming along.... but I don't know anything about install so I'll have to bring to a shop. Still looking for Box/Sub/Amp though!

Installing is easy; it just takes time. It took me a week to build my box, run new wires from the amp to the doors, and dynamat my CRV. Granted I had to work around the weather and light, but I enjoyed it and in the end it saved me about $500.
