Default ipad custom installed in dash

Hey guys-
Ive searched around here and haven't really seen a fully integrated Apple dash- figured Id post my progress on my ipad install. I have had about 3 double dins, but decided to go this route because I was still limited on 1)screen size 2)Audio sources 3)Internet
so the ipad was a no brainer! It is currently at the paint shop, so I will get installed pictures up soon. heres my progress. this is how its setup
Apple dock connector--->USB(charge) & 3.5mm audio--->inline volume control(rca)--->kenwood 5band EQ----->Mids/highs/sub amp

UPDATE:
Heres the new installed pics. Also included a video

<iframe title="YouTube video player" class="youtube-player" type="text/html" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/P8DNn25aZRY" frameborder="0" allowFullScreen></iframe>

the start;

hackin the dash

Glued up

tight like a tiger

primered and ready for paint

Test fit- perfect!

enjoi!

^carputers are
1)PC(most) im a mac guy so I would have to buy a mac mini and such,
2)Not portable(undock the ipad=the best antitheft)
3)Carputers have a fixed 7" screen. Ipad has a 10"(yes you can do a custom carputer with 9-12" TFT screen but then id have to find a place to mount the brain etc. and run more wires )
4) Carputer requires all types of software for navigation, bluetooth, gps, not to mention all the corresponding antennas. Ipad= all built in.
5)common its APPLE

Personally, iPad is the first and only Apple product that i am looking forward to getting. I am waiting for 2nd Gen to fix what they have forgot to include on the first gen.I am thinking about coming up/finding something to place it nicely in the car.This is a pretty good work, and congratulations for it.. I hope USASpec will come out with an adapter that will work perfectly with iPad.

I didn't think a Z could pull this off, but that looks really good actually. Looks like you did a good job. Can't wait to see final installed pictures

The AC controls are located on the shift boot piece. The piece he modified only had the cubby and radio.
