Default Good 6.5" speakers with decent bass/mids?

I'm looking to get rid of my heavy sub/amp combo and just run the 4 6.5 speakers in the cabin powered by a small amp. I would still like some good bass and a nice sound all around. I'm not looking to dump tons of money into in though so if any of you guys could recommend a nice setup or front/rear speakers along with an amp that'd be awesome!

Thanks in advance

then you need VERY good speakers.

I would reccomend a very powerful 4 ch amp, very good steep crossovers in the amp, and a set of Boston Pro 6.5 SEs, or Focals if you have the cash.

Bostons up front would run you 400 from ebay new, and a very good amp would be the Alpine PDX 150.4, about the same price.

Run a decent set of mathcing coaxs in the back as they are fairly unimportant anyways. Maybe 100 bucks for those.

End result will be very very nice.

Well I just finished my front components with Hertz Hi-energy HSK 165XL's on an JL HD600/4 bridged the amp and run the rears off the head unit. IT SOUNDS AMAZING!, and clean!

The rears are 6.5's and they're just woofers, no tweeters. The Hertz Energy line is still good, and reasonably priced.

I like the idea of the 6.5" woofers in the back, do they still produce decent bass? i dont listen to a lot of rap so super loud hard hitting bass isnt necessary, but i do like a decent amount of bass.

$5000?!?!

IMO, i think your expectations are totally unrealistic, especially at that price level, also 6.5s arent going to give you any "bass'.

Youre asking people advice, no ones going to tell you to half #ss it.. u get to do that on your own. haha.
