no kidding. i got mine via 12v also, and they've been outstanding every step of the way.

can't believe the imagines sound as good as they do for the price. i'd put 'em on par with diamonds and focals. the tweeters are a bit bright for on-axis, but i'll be doing a-pillar mount for those (mids in door pods i'm working on right now) and bouncing them off the windshield. have heard that exact setup in another Z and it was excellent.

If you're doing good damping and noise reduction, you'll love the L6's. According to the DIYMA guys running them, that's what really makes them shine.

I'll probably do a small amount of noise reduction work, but probably just in certain areas. Don't wanna add *TOO* much weight.

Paint? To prevent rust? Or what?

Im planning on deadening the whole thing as soon as I buy some
I'm hoping it doesnt rain soon so water don't get inside bc literally the weld spots OPEN to the wheel weld

I'm thinking a good layer of deadening will fix that since the holes are so small what do you think???

Bent really drove her much, but the drive to work didnt feel any different

Jackson what did you do to the weld spots? How did you close/cover them?

ya so I left it for like 3 weeks while I was workin on different stuff in the car and eventually I could see little surface rust on all my little spots, so I had to sand them slightly and then just threw some black rust-o-lium on there. pretty much everywhere i either cut or drilled a weld

ya I accidently went through in two spots on my wheel wells. but it was a pretty small hole so i just pushed some silicone through to seal and followed up with a little spray-on wheel well dampener on the outside to keep it air/water tight. one could weld it shut if you were tryin to do it 100% proper.

water will definitely come through the wheel wells if you don't seal, then you got water coming through onto unfinished metal = rust quickly

if you do a liquid sound deadener, it will serve the same purpose but better

see......

Ok gotcha !!!

This weekend I'm going to spray the metal, hmm about my wheel weld well I've got more than 2, so idk I'll think of something

I was thinking of getting some spray on insulant that you throw on cracks of garage doors and then covering it with sheets of deadening not the spray, idk I'm not to comfortable with the spray lol

18"

I already have 2 13w7's tho

Maybe next year .... I'm going to try and get as much ad I can out of these 13w7's , I know these woofers are capable of going over 150dbs , 155dbs and my fat *** will do a backflip or try!!!

But yeah Travis, I'm going to try and do something with these woofers since I already have two, but I like the fact that not many ppl use 13w7's (properly) alot of newbs just buy it bc it JL AUDIO , what a waste

In my S-10 I had 2 13w7 and was able to hit 151dbs. I was powering that with 2 JL JX1000/1D amps.
