Default Can somone who knows about AMPS and SUBS help me

I have a pair of MTX 10" thunder 4500 Subs (225 rms) and found a cheap amp Xplode XM-4060GTX 4/3 channel 600w. Would this set up work? any problems i would encounter? what does the 4/3 channel mean anyway?

You need to find another amp, the 4/3 means you can run 4 channels or you can run two channels and a subwoofer channel (3rd channel). Either way that amp doesn't put out enough power for your woofers.. and it pretty low on quality.

Look for an amp that does ~ 500 @ 2ohm... mono output subwoofer amp.

Good place to find a cheap amp is caraudio.com classifieds.

Negatory... look for 250 RMS x 2 @ 2 ohm.... or 500 RMS x 1 @ 2ohm.... Either will work.... make sure you look for RMS watts and not " max " .

Something like this... http://www.caraudio.com/forums/ampli...-p400-2-a.html

really your best bet is to sign up over at caraudio.com and place a wanted add for a 500rms @ 2 ohm amp.... you will get all kinds of offers good and bad... expensive and cheap...

How about don't buy cheap crap. By going cheap, more than likely you're not going to actually get the power that's advertised anyway.
