Default will LCD screen burn in occur with "NO SIGNAL"?

Ive had my farenheit 7" screen in for 2.5 months or so now, and was curious as to whenever im not using my dvd player (which is 75% of the time im in my car), and the "no signal" words in red are on the screen, will those words burn into the LCD screen permanently, i dont see any sign of it now but im wondering if i should just turn off the screen manually when i turn on mym car when i dont use my dvd player.

Does your screen turn on automatically when you start your car or something? I have both my DVD player and farenheit screen always wired to hot, and just turn them on when needed.

I would say that yes, the no signal will burn in after time....plus leaving the screen on is just another power draw on the alternator thats not necessary unless you are actually watching something.

NO.
I think I post this before (the answer).
LCD will NOT BURN IN.

Burn in ONLY occurs with CRT screens. Image is literally shot at the screen. So long images being shot at the screen will create the Burn in effect. LCD are series of tri color leds that turns on and off. There is no way for LCD to create burn ins.

LCDs do not have a problem with burn-in, but you run into issues with both CRTs and plasma screens. With LCDs, your worst problem is a loss of pixels if the control transistor dies.

I know this is an old thread. But I came across this similar proble. I bought a farenheit T-7000 and hooked it up to my Kenwood DDX6016. When all said and done I turned it on and then I got the NO SIGNAL essage across the screen. Not sure what I did wrong but everything seems correct. I tried use different types of urnt dvds and regular moie dvd's. Nothing worked. I did realize that after I put everybody that I hooked up the power wire to the consant power of my H/U and not my ignition wire. Would this be the problem?

^^ I don't think the problem you are experiencing has anything to do with LCD "burn-in."

What you are asking can be broken into two separate problems.

Problem 1
You should not connect your Farenheit T-7000MHR to a constant power supply. The reason: When you turn-off the display of your Farenheit using the remote, you do not fully kill its power, you just put it into “sleep” mode. The Farenheit continues to draw a slight amount of power as it remains in a “ready-to-turn-on” state looking for a command from the remote. The power draw is small, but wiring it this way can result in a dead battery if the car sits for just a few days. Always wire your Farenheit T-7000MHR to an ACC power line so that power is killed when you turn the ignition off.

Problem 2
You are getting the NO SIGNAL message because you have not made the correct video connections from the Kenwood to the Farenheit. The Farenheit is NTSC/PAL (you toggle between these using the remote) composite video. For this to work, the Kenwood DDX6016 must support composite video output, which you would connect to the composite video input of the Farenheit.
