Default Some Audio history

I wish I could go all the way back to 1988 when I started in Car Audio, but here's some of the more recent crazy subwoofers that I have had the pleasure of owning. I figure some of the older Audio guys who have been around would appreciate them. Feel free to add any of the wild, crazy or rare equipment you've owned.

Nice equipment! The only rare equipment I ever had was an Alpine 7909 in 1996. I bought it off a friend because he told me it was a great unit. Well, it was an awesome head unit!

If I only knew what it would be worth today.......

Thanks man.

I found one more picture of probably the 2nd rarest sub I've owned. The best subwoofer RF has ever made, hands down for SPL. They weren't even made by RF directly, they were contracted by another smaller firm to build it. There were few made, and even fewer still exist.

Love that RF stuff you have posted, brings back memories! I had the 'black-grill' type RF amps in the 90's (500m, other 4 chn RF amp forget model #) also 2 10" punch series speakers. Those amps got wet (1/2 inch of water) in my car and all I did was let them dry for a couple of days, then wired them back in the car, they came on with no problems.

Yeah I remember that S10 and the 'Fish' guy, I think he had a dodge truck with the power wires running through a fish tank and the Cerwin Vega speakers in the truck bed.

He was working R&D for one of the big companies last time I heard from him.

I'm surprised noone mentioned Richard Clark's SpeakerWork's Grand National. I got a chance to see the inner workings around 1992, and the stuff he was doing was way ahead of his time with his enclosure.

I think i have done all of that, still have a ppi sitting in the garage and 2 Alesis 30 bands somewhere. That just brought back a lot of memories.
