Default Car Audio Help(Amp)

So my amp died on me the other day. I went out and purchased an Alpine MRP500. I went to install it(should be plug and play) and got everything put in. However the remote wire won't turn on the amp for longer then 5 seconds. If I hold the wire/screw in the wire to the amp it will turn on and then it will turn off. I know power is getting to the amp because it will turn on but it won't stay on. I checked all the connections and they all seem fine... Any idea why this is going on?

Here is a video that kind of explains what I am trying to say....

Heres a link incase it doesnt imbed

Try unplugging the speaker outputs and then give it a try. If it stays on, then you also have a problem with your speakers.

Tried that already. Amp still goes off after about 5 seconds.

The M500 has a switch for the power-on type. Check this. Mine had the same thing from when I bought it.
