Exclamation Aftermarket Subwoofer in a ROADSTER

Hey, I am a new (owner) and to the site and only been finding info and specs on installing aftermarket subwoofers in the coupes. Does anyone on this forum have any experience or advice in regards to the roadster? I am only interested in utilizing the space behind the seats, and not the already small trunk. I searched the JL stealth box, however it is only available for the coupe. This is the only option I have found so far: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Nissan-350z-C...item3a5ccba9ef

I greatly appreciate any and all feedback on the topic!

Cheers!!

Just put one in the factory location behind the drivers seat.

The stock 10" sub woofer enclosure has only a certain size that will fit. The mounting depth for a subwoofer is 8" and the mounting height (subwoofer excursion) is 0.9. You will have to figure out the amount of air space in that location though. You are going to get very little performance out of the stock sub location without building some sort of box to direct the sound waves and air flow. Just replacing the sub will yield very little gain in bass, or response because of the open spaces behind the plastic.

I have that box with a jl 13tw5. It sounds pretty good, better then stock, and in a roadster it's your only real choice besides the wicked cas box which is really good, but cost a little bit too much for me. you can always make your own if your good at that kind of thing but for me 100.00 wasn't bad for a box that fit right back there. if you do a search on the SRQ box you should find some threads on it here.
