Default 03 Stereo Problems. Need advice!

Proud new 03 Z owner! The disc player won't play my burned discs (I haven't tried mp3's, just files extracted to the normal disc format). Is there any way around this problem? If not, I'll have to get a new stereo (with an auxiliary input). Hate to do it because it looks uniform and great right now, but I need tunes. If I have to do this, can anyone recommend one that looks good and isn't expensive? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Bose or non-Bose?

If you want to keep the OEM look/feel, then buy a used one that fits an 03. There always seem to be some for sale in the Marketplace: https://my350z.com/forum/audio-video-364/

Naturally, you can go aftermarket but at a more significant cost.

03 Bose headunit will only play Audio CD format, MP3 is not supported. Use a burning software ( Like Nero ) to create Audio CDs & try.

That's what I've done. The songs are in audio format, but the player still won't read them.

I've always run into problems with the '03 Bose so I bought a USA Spec PA11-NIS, hooked up my old iPod Nano and tucked it under my shift boot.

Try a different brand of CD, also try burning it with different software.
