So after being stored all winter I thought my car needed something to spruce it up! Since I may be selling her at the end of next summer I decided to go with something that can be taken out and saved for my next car.

Set up:
2 10" Alpine Type-R's (12's wouldn't fit easliy )
1 Jl Audio 500/1 JX Amp
Sealed box with grills to protect the cones
Note: Just went with the regular sealed box and not a stealthbox or custom box for the same reason I got the subs, can be transferred to a new car more easily!

 

That amp isant powerful enough for those subs

 

way under powered...i have a 1000/1 and its under powering them a little...

Used to have a few sets of those speakers, I remember a guy with the screen name speakerman I think was in love with those. He could hit high 140's or low 150's with a single type-r on 1000-1500rms. Those subs are beast entry levels.

 

Yeah after two days I'm in love, I mean I don't know about you guys but that setup has the entire car vibrating at half volume, to scared to turn it all the way up, not to mention it'd deafen me!

 

i have 1 10" alpine type r dvc 4 ohm the new ones got it for 100shipped waiting for one more then im getting a atleast a 1200/1 amp to power them im wireing them down to 1 ohm hoping to make them slam

 

That sounds like it will be scary loud!
