Default OEM Navi not turning on......

So I turn on my car and thr Navi door slides up, but the screen doesnt turn on. Ok, so I turn off the car, turn it back on and the same thing. Navi door slides up, and screen doesnt come on at all, so the door slides back down bc the screen wasnt on. But, sometimes when I turn on the car the screen works just fine. Whats causing this to happen? Meaning, whats causing the screen not to come on at times, then work at times?

Ok, so everytime I start the car I wait for the cover to open and give it a slight nudge before it stops at the stop.....and VOILA!! Comes on now! Only when I nudge it before its all the way open. Is there a fix to this?

No one can give you a definitive answer that solves your problem because the fault is based in a mechanical failure. You already determined the “fix,” but it’s not pretty or convenient. Your problem and its repair/solution is why Nissan eliminated the retracting door on the upper/forward cubby in favor of an open design.

For your problem, I would disassemble the center console and all its components, and then put it all back after carefully checking every switch and connection. If that fails, it’s time to begin researching aftermarket solutions.
