general question about 35th 2005 350z
Hello everyone i own a 35th anniversary 350z and i notice i have the navigation dvd drive behind my driver seat and when i turn on my car it loads but i dont have the navigation screen, how would i be able to check should i just tear the dash apart and check or is there a way i could check by using my vin to see if it was originally equipped with nav?
What is in the cubby location where the navi would be installed...is it cut up or have any holes? Or does it look completely stock?
I would think if it has the DVD drive it should have the navi unless the previous owner swapped it out for another cubby and modded it.

The cubby had bolts missing like it was messed around with thankfully this is my second 350z so I had some to spare, but the cubby looks the same it just doesn't have the little mat in it? Also thanks I will call the dealership and ask.
35th Zs bundled the Nav and the Side Curtain SFS together in one option.
It was the only orderable option other than manual/automatic and the color.

I haven't figured out from my phone but if your on the computer scroll down below the submit reply/preview post and click on manage attachments then you can upload from your drive or using a photo sharing website with a url.
Hmm Im not sure what to tell you, my car has the Airbag but no dvd drive only an extra cubby and the compartment up front is nav free as well.
I think the dealership is really the only one who can answer your questions 100%

yea your probably right, another quick question how would i know my car is a 35th anniversary i have been burned before. I had a 350z before they posted it as an enthusiast, but when i did my research later when i already bought it was a base.
1) That is where the stock navigation system goes, I'm not sure why you don't have it though? Did you buy your Z new or used?
2) You have a 2005 Ultra Yellow MT and you have Brembo Brakes and 18" wheels = 35th Anniversary

ok yea i just wanted to know lol, the car is used im just trying to see if the car came stock with navigation. Do you have any idea what wires i would have to look for to see if it has nav and if so what would i need to convert it back?
There's no way to tell a 35th from the VIN.
These are the steps, but they are not 100%.
Coupe Only
Ultra Yellow, Black, or Silver
MT or Auto (if MT has Rev Up Engine)
Brembos
5 Spokes
Orange Stitching in Graphite Seats (on some colors could get orange seats, not all are graphite)
35th Floor Mats
The Z badges are supposed to be bronzed on the sides, but not all cars are this way. Mine are not.
If somebody swapped wheels, Brembos, seats, and added floor mats, you could "make" a 35th.

The one thing that I know of that not many people do is if you look at the Z emblem on the front fender on any other 350z it has a silver circle around it for the 35th anniversary the circle is more bronze but since its shiny you can't tell unless you look closely and purposefully at it. Also your floor mats should say 35th anniversary.

The least known one is the orange stitching on graphite seats. Check out this guy's website and scroll down to the seat pics.
It became standard I believe in 2006 like the wheels did.
