I sent an e-mail asking about the Stealthbox around Christmas time. Here's a respone I got from Don Vertrees of JL Audio today........

Good morning Randall,
Yes, We have just completed development of a new Stealthbox model for the
350Z. It fits between the strut tower brace and the OEM speaker bridge and
houses (2) 10W3V2's in a sealed enclosure. You have to hear this bad boy!!!
It's covered in black carpet so as to blend into the car's interior easily.
Availability should be no later than the end of February. Suggested retail
price will be $749.95. I've contacted our graphics dept. about getting some
pictures to send to you. They told me our website will be updated with
pictures of all new Stealthboxes by the end of this week. Thanks for your
interest in Stealthbox!
Sincerely,
Don Vertrees

Like the look of the enclosure from what I can see, but still haven't decided on this or an enclosure from Nazar.

Decisions, decisions

So the $749 comes with the speakers?

I should see if I can get some sort of group buy going. Anyone interested?

Seems like the rear of the sub enclosure sticks out from under the strut bar....wonder how ugly and how stealth that will truly be....

for two subs and a custom designed box thats not a bad price at all. A group buy would be great.

I may be a little bias because I have Nazar's box. And its tight.
I'm with you. I also have Nazar's box, and when it's finished with the automotive quality vinyl that Nazar uses, the fit inside the Z is absolutely PERFECT. I am a very finicky person, and the texture and color are PERFECT. I don't see even the best color matched carpet fitting in the Z as well. The rear strut has a plastic texture and the rear speaker location bar is the same plastic. Having a fuzzy carpet texture in between won't look right, even if the color is properly matched.

Ok everyone, more information about the JL Stealthbox from Don Vertrees of JL Audio.......

Good afternoon Randy,
We don't have an official shipping weight yet, but expect the enclosure with
woofers to be about 45 lbs. It's mounting into the car is through a couple
existing holes in the cargo floor which can be accessed through the glove
box openings behind the seats. There are a couple threaded inserts molded
into the bottom of the enclosure to accept a couple 3/8 bolts from under the
floor panel. Rough dimensions are 12WX39LX15H.
Thanks,
Don Vertrees

Randy,
Sorry...impedance will be 4 ohms.
Thanks,
Don Vertrees

Like the fact that the mounting method sounds simple and secure.

Anyone with Nazar's box had any problems with it shifting? Any squeaks from the vinyl covering against the plastic strut tower?

Not to be picky.. but I would rather have the stealth box available for 2 W7's.. granted it would need to be bigger, but maybe alittle more off the hook than W3v2's. Not to say the W3v2 Sucks.. cause its a tight sub, but can a brotha get some more boom for his buck?! lol

..I'm buying one tho. LoL

I have Nazars box and there are no squeeks or anything. I have mine bolted into the strut bar so there is no movement. I took my spare tire out because i would never put that thing on my car anyways.

As far as stealth goes, you really cant see the box looking in from the outside unless you are really trying. All you can make out is the rings for the subs
