JL Stealthbox - get ready . . .
Haven't updated this in a while buttttttttt...I replaced the W3's with W6's and swapped the amp for a Jl Audio 1000.1. I retained the sound quality but now the subs pound also. Nobody would ever guess that I only have two 10s. Just something you might want to think about KamikaZ if you are wanting some bump in your ride.

I traded them in at a local shop towards the W6s. Not real sure off the top of my head but I think I paid about a $250-$300 difference for the pair. I had also used the W3s for about 2 months before I traded them in. New or newer the difference might be even smaller.
Nope no real mods were made. It was a very tight fit though. After speaking with JL a few times I had one tech say they wouldn't fit and another say they would so we just test fit one. Holding it up you can tell it will be secure after the screws are put in. It does however use 10 screws instead of 8 like the W3 so new holes must be made. As far as being worth it, it was for me and the sound output is VERY noticeable.
They retail for $700-800 You can get them for about $500-600
