My cd changer (non-nav) started changing fm bands (FM1, FM2, CD) on it's own. Does this sporadically and will even power on and begin flipping through bands.

I had the dealership replace it with a refurb and now it's still doing it, but less often...

Could the refurb unit also be malfunctioning or maybe a wiring issue? I have touched nothing in terms of electrical/wiring (all stock) on the car.

Now the dealer tells me they cannot reproduce the error and I need to come drive it with a technician.

Anyone heard of a problem like this?

 

My 07 is doing the same thing. I recently replaced the Bose HU with a JVC HU and steering wheel controls adapter. The JVC has random fits of flipping through sources and turning on by itself.

I thought that it was probably the adapter at fault.

Your post makes me think that it might be the steering wheel controls at fault.

 

Was the bose functioning okay before replacing the HU?
