My CD is skipping bad in my 04 and needs replacing.. It doesnt matter if I let it warm up of even if its dry out, it still does it so I had a few questions.

1. Was this issue resolved on the newer models (06-08)?
2. Are the newer models without the cassette tape a direct replacement, including the mounting and wiring harness plugs?
3. Are there other Nissan models that would also fit so I can expand my searches?
4. Anything else I should know or be aware of?

I had the bose HU in my 03, never had any problems with it so
I purchased a different HU online and they usually tell if it it's a perfect fit or if you need to change anything. On mine I had to cut out plastic stick in the middle of the holder and it fit like a champ.

I still have the 03 bose HU if you're just looking to switch it out, i'll sell it to you cheap
