350z audio potential
So i figured i would start a thread on the audio potential of the 350z, I love my 06 and all its entirety but im still looking for that audio that can blow me away, being a ex-installer, which surprisingly i've never worked on this car in the couple years ive been doing installs, the audio is a really big thing for me. Does anyone have any ideas what products for sound does well for this car and more importantly how well this car is set up for sound staging?

This winter ill be replacing all of my audio in my 04 with digital designs 6.5s in the back and 6.5 components in the doors..along with the replacement of the stock sub with a digital designs sub, as well as a kenwood double din
some ppl say kick panels, i say nay to that.. equalizing path lengths in a car that has a door to dash that hugs you closely is pointless.
Time correction and heavy signal processing has brought me fantastic joyfull sound in my car. It has certainly come a lomng way
Same as always, good components that have a wide frequency range.. keeping it simple w the woofers, and using all 4 speakers w something like Alpine Imprint is key IMHO. Time correction, level matching, and even sets its own crossover points.
I run Boston Pro all around and a flat sub, 1.1000 pdx alpine, 4.150 pdx Alpine, Imprint, and a Stinger 15 farad hybrid cap near the amps.
Never a complaint. sounds like my speakers are outside my driver door, very convincing.. all music sounds good, no listening fatigue, and no adjustments of any bass or treble high level eqing is necc between media types or songs. They are not flat by any means as that sounds like hell, but the timbre is matched and mimics home reference speakers, and that was what i was after.
As for audio potential, well, im sure lots of ppl ahve fiberglassed the hell out of thier trunks and mounted TVs everywhere, but that doestn mean anythng to me.. i dont prefer that.. mine is fully hidden.
Im an ex installer too.
from WAY back like Wayne Harris , Fishman days.
ID horns in the buick days.. twin Alesis meq230s set ups, the red BMW w focal swivel tweeters and 10s in the kickpanels back in the day lol.. fleckstone paint back inthe day.. lol.. were talking WAY back.

Thanks for all he replys, everything except my radio is factory and right now im using a type s sub, and bmc, pdx apline equipment are what i was planning on doing but thank you for your imput, very good advice, by your explanation, seems youve been around a while on the installer scene, im looking for flush and a fairly stock look with te exception of a custom enclosure. What are your thoughts on dynamating te entire vehicle, road noise is probably the biggest thig with this car that irritates me
