Default PAC oem install

I just want to say I have installed dozens on new head units before and my Bose cd changer broke so it was time for a new one. I ordered a Sony unit with a PAC oem 1 adapter so I could keep all the speakers and a decent sound (for how good the Bose is). I matched up all the wires, took my time went to turn the car on and no lights on the unit. The only thing is static on the speakers. Anyone have any ideas what it could be? Thanks for the help
