Default Looking to replace Bose

Hello guys, I own an 07' 350Z Touring with a Navigation, Bluetooth and the Bose system of course.

Recently I've been having some trouble with the stock Bose system as the CD player skips and stops playing CDs, freezes up and gives me the PUSH EJECT error. I've tried many things, but with no success.

So I've decided that I want to replace the stock Bose system entirely with an aftermarket single DIN preferably as I don't want two displays as I think that would be a bit excessive. I want to get away from the whole CD thing in general and just move to digital media.

What I wanted to know from you guys is what unit you guys would recommend. What units would allow me to still utilize the steering wheel controls, what will allow me to use the bluetooth or has bluetooth and that would allow for the stock Navigation to make the voice overs. As well, something that will utilize the current stock setup with the subwoofer correctly.

I know that there is probably nothing like this and that will do everything, but what is my best option? Also, my friend who has had his Z for a while mentioned that I need a PAC module because I have the Bose system? If I do, where can I get it?

Thanks in advance guys

First things first, use the search function. Just for s&g I googled the questions, took me a couple minutes.

You good with wiring? Its pretty simple. Factory voice nav can be found explained here: https://my350z.com/forum/audio-build...cs-inside.html

The reason you need a PAC module is to use steering wheel controls (I'm assuming, PAC makes all kinds of neat things for your radio) but that doesn't have anything to do with that its bose or not. You buy an aftermarket HU, you have to get an adapter to use SWC.

Buy a head unit with bluetooth and you will still have bluetooth. Magic.

To keep your bLose sub just make sure to get the proper wiring harness for your stereo and it will work. It has to be made for the bose w/sub headunit.

2 displays is cool. It's what I run

I run an Alpine INA W910 double din and it is hooked up to a PAC ROEM NIS something to utilize the bose amp to power the stock bose speakers/sub. I also used an Axxis steering wheel module. Originally went with the PAC one but that one had huge delays on the steering wheel controls. It may be HU related, so maybe the PAC will work fine for what you go with.

I didn't bother with keeping the factory nav voice.

The BT is just part of the new HU and you just run a mic somewhere in your cabin. Don't think you can utilize the stock BT mic that is above the rear view mirror.

It is nice to have 2 navigation units however, as sometimes the factory one doesn't have the POI I am looking for, so I use my aftermarket one. And if that fails, I have my phone's google maps.

Always have a navigation contingency plan and run as many screens as possible. Ironically one time I still got lost even with all 3 navi.

^ do that. double screen is very common. it will make your work easier. Pac Roem nis 2 is what you need. axxess aswc for steering wheel control. a lot of guys start out thinking the way you are but end up changing their mind due to the complexities.
