Default tablet main radio replacement?

Has anybody replaced their radio with a tablet for a main source of music nav etc instead of a double din?

Yes. Either search for it or ask what you actually want to know about it.

Well I currently have a pioneer 7" double din but I want to pull that out and replace it with a 7" tablet instead. I have an 05 and the cubby dor doesn't retract it just goes up and it looks tacky having a tab in there.. so if anybody has done a tablet instead of a double din or stock radio id like to see hows its done and how it turned out... worth it or not

What I did on mine was a pioneer app radio 2 with an android phone with the arliberator app. Way less issues with this setup instead of a tablet

I installed a nexus 7 tablet in the cubby, removed the door and fab a surround to mimic the look of the 06+ 350z's navi. I've seen in done in the stock location on a g35 so shouldn't be an issue. Just some fab work. The tablet is by far the best head unit-navigation I've ever had and I've been through quite a few. Nothing on the market can compares. Also, I kept my 7 inch double-din JVC unit in the stock location. That way I was able to connect the tablet via Bluetooth audio. So, I can use the mic to send voice commands to the tablet.
