Hey guys,

Wondering if anyone has tried the newest 2012 pioneer disc upgrade COPY. I found the oem disc, but they are over 100. The copies on amazon/ebay go for 10. I heard some people using the copies and having good results, but I also read online that it might fail, seize the headunit, and I won't be able to use it anymore. Anyone have this problem happen to them? Or am I safe buying a copy? I am currently using this red disc that came with the unit:

Are you talking about the map update? If so then yes it does work as it's copied properly...

 

I got my 2012 update disk off ebay and it works fine

Someone made me a copy and it worked like crap and would constantly shutdown and restart so I just went back to the original, let me know how your version turns out so I can get the same

 

I will Waizz, if I can get my hands on one. It was supposedly "delivered" yesterday, but I called today and they lost it. Now they are investigating which most likely means i have to order a new one.
