beezee, the “D” in our battery group sizes designates batteries designed for deep-cycle use, so all of the YellowTop sizes will have that designation. I make a habit of not posting links to our corporate site, although the external dimensions of all our group sizes are listed there. The D34 is slightly larger than the D35 and the terminals are more toward the middle of the battery, where the D35 terminals are closer to the edge. I happen to have a D35 & D34/78 (side & top terminals) on my bench right now, so you can see some of the difference in size-

wrecker, I'm happy to participate in another thread to learn more about your issues or you can send me a PM.

I thought you wanted to keep this thread on topic? If you still do, feel free to send me a PM with your contact information, the type of battery you have, the age of the battery and serial number found on the 1"x3" "Non-Spillable" label on the side of the battery.

+2 on the Die Hard Platinum, 3 years so far with no issues.
My previous Optima Red Top lasted a little over 2 years.

I'd suggest XS Power. Their batteries are amazing and you can find all kinds of comparisons on them beating other batts.

Buyed allready Optima Yellow Top 55Ah, little modification's needed coz in Europe the negative terminal is on the opposite side.

After all works great!

You will love your Optima Yellow Top. I’ve been using Optima batteries for years with great results. I first used Optima in my off-road vehicles. A reliable battery is essential when you are 15+ miles from a road and need to operate electric winches, lights, etc.

Optima offers different models you choose depending upon your primary requirements.

The features I like best are the mounting position (any position you want and spill proof), maintenance-free, bullet-proof vibration resistance, and very long life with seemingly infinite cranking power.

To all;
Will the XS Power D3400 fit in the existing 2003 350z battery compartment?

If they made a BCI G-35 battery, sure.... but a quick google shows they don't make one in that size. However, take careful measurements and see if you can squeeze in a Gr 34 or something similar. Most important measurement is the height. You don't wanna have to run without the battery cover and arc weld your hood to a fender.
