Head Unit Help!!!
My Bose head unit just took a dump on my 07 Touring. I want to replace with a touchscreen HU with a ipod hookup. I need help deciding on what to get and what is also compatible with the rest of the Bose setup and steering wheel volume and seek buttons. Thanks Lucas
most headunits will work but you will need the Pac Roem-Nis2. For steering wheel control
you need Axxess ASWC. read here

Good luck with the ASWC. It's crap on the Bose controls (or at least it was under the firmware version I used a couple years ago). I ended up having to swap out the steering wheel controls and tie in from the clock spring to get it to work. The folks at Axxess tech services were no help whatsoever (seems to be a recurring theme in this forum).
I have the Axxess AWSC with my Alpine unit and it works perfectly. I tried the PAC version and could not get it to work at all. The Axxess doesn't need those stupid capacitors.

Ive got the pioneer avhx 4500 bt... And I've installed numerous Kenwood, pioneer, and alpine video units... Alpines are super complicated to bypass the parking lockout... Kenwoods eq just sucks out loud..... Pioneers don't have enough preout voltage strength early in the line this year... But if you get a 4500 or higher, its the clear winner for me.... Ive got TONS of experience with these 3 brands, we sell all of them at my shop
