Suction cup on the quarter glass works well. Thats about the only place i will mount it, im scared to mount to the bumpers or body cause my paint is already bad enough i dont want to pull a section of paint off with the camera -_-

What's your question?

I have 2 GoPros that I've been using without any issues on glass, body panel, or fixed mounts.

I didn’t ask a question. I said this: “I'm interested in anyone's experience with mounting and using a GoPro video cameras on their Z.”

You replied along with others. I appreciate the responses. I have the information I was asking for.

Spike nothing to worry about. I use the suction all over on my Z and Raptor. Painted panels, hoods, windows, etc. The GoPro is bad *** just get one.

Another option to consider is just getting a dash cam. The newer ones offer great HD video quality evem at night. The added bonus over a gopro is that a dash cam is always running and can help your case if you're in an accident or get a ticket. The price is pretty much the same as a gopro w/ mounting hardware.

I like your suggestion, especially for a car-mounted dedicated camera. This is a solution popular in eastern European countries where video records are essential when solving accident claims.

Here is a link to Garmin’s solution:
