Default 03 w/bose. front left tweeter

Sooo I noticed the other day when I had a CD in that i hurd a lot more coming from my right side. So I started playing with the fader and stuff. And realized that the front left tweeter wasnt working.. so I thought alright I just need to get new speaker.

Then I changed it onto the radio and it all works fine :s. Apparently my left tweeter hates CD'S.

Anyone have any explanation?

maybe you "hurd" it wrong

Seriously though, it's a known issue with the HU. Mine does it all the time.

It's more sh*t HU vs sh*t wiring.

Some guys swap them out, only to have the problem come back again.

If you want a complete fix, replace the entire system with something better than Bose.

Remember the Bose ohm rating is much lower than most speakers. You can't just plug and play with the system. It's pretty much all or none.

Is the wiring "speacial" bose wire too? Or could I just change the speakers out and leave the wire?

It's not his issue. It's the HU, not the speakers.

Not completely true.
I had a local shop replace the stock H/U with a new Pioneer and replace the stock front speakers with some Hertz DSK165s which can be pushed with the stock Bose amp with no problem. I left the stock rears and the sub in place.
I have a roadster, so no good replacement option for the sub without spending a ton of money.

BIG improvement in sound just replacing the H/U and fronts.
