After changing Stereo, Service Engine light and ICY warning
Hi, I'm hoping someone had this issue. I did a search and was unable to find this.
I replaced my stereo today. I disconnected everything as I should have and I started my car to move it out of the rain.
I noticed when I started it that every idiot light was on. I shut the engine and changed out the stereo.
After putting everything back together, I noticed the "Service Engine Soon" light was on, and when I looked at the left gauge on the center console, I noticed it had "ICY" displayed.
Has anyone experienced this? What was the fix?

I’m having a little bit of trouble making sense of your posting; but I think your problem is a faulty ground.

Unhooking all the gauges, stereo connections, and that white box connected to the AC controls.....and then starting it while all that stuff is unconnected makes the car unhappy.
Connect everything back together, plug your scanner into the OBD port, clear all codes.....you should be good to go.

Here's the issue. When you disconnect the top gauges and start the engine, it causes issues and the ecu needs to be reset. I couldn't get it to reset by the preferred method, so I disconnected the battery yesterday and reconnected it this morning. The ecu reset.
Thanks everyone
