Do you have a close up of the HU intalled in your car. It looks very nice.

For the original poster, I've been looking at this HU for a long time but have not purchased it yet due to the fact I want to upgrade the entire system.

The best price I've seen has been at "www.silviaparts.com" and you don't need the converter which is perfect, and it's only $660 shipped.

Default Sony HU

Is it an in dash CD, or do you need a changer? Does the face fly open? Do you know of a link that has a feature list in English?

Thanks.

Default sony

I'm no audiophile and definitely have no experience with these Japanese head units from sony.

Can someone clarify for me even with the frequency converter, do you get the whole band of fm here in us or only a portion?

Also any recommendations on best place to get it and time for shipping would be appreciated.

It opens up the face by sliding forward and you can adjust the angle of the faceplate. Notice the angle button top left.

The cheapest place I've seen it is "www.silviaparts.com" for $660 and you do NOT need the converter. That price is with shipping. I'm gonna get it from there in a month or so. I read in a post somewhere that it sound very good and the quality is excellent... I don't know if anybody outthere would disagree, but that's what I read in these forums.

Default Sony Head Unit

Does anyone actually use MiniDiscs, or are most of you that own or are planning to own this HU just use the CD? I don't own a minidisc, but love the styling of the double din unit; but don't know if it is very practical for me.

Thanks.
