Default Is there a crossover module in the door?

I see there's a tweeter in the door and everywhere referees to the lower 6 1/2" speakers as "woofers". I picked up some infinity reference speakers that have the tweeters in them.

So is there a crossover module in the door or someplace that is splitting the sound between the "woofers" and the tweeters.

I would like to locate the wire that comes straight from the head unit for the front sound and wire that directly to the infinity speakers.

I installed the head unit myself so I know there's only four wires, 2 positive and negative, that go to the fronts. Where do those wires end up in the door?

In my 05 enthusiast, at least, there is no crossover in the door. I have two wires that run to the speakers and two more that run up to the tweeter. I assume all four come straight from the HU

Well I'll tell you this, all four of those wires DO NOT come from the head unit. Somewhere there is a split. I had to hard wire my head unit from Nissan schematics as the original owner had screwed ip the wiring back there. There MUST be a crossover and I want to find it.

Have you checked the FSM wiring schematics?

I'm going to call Crutchfield and get them to email me the schematics. This is the best I could find online this morning but it contains no index and its a pretty shoddy schematic as is.

Hey man,
Don't use a very old cross-over that was designed for the cheesy Clarion/Bose setup, (it was designed for 2 ohm speakers). Use the one that came with your kit, sure, it's slightly more effort. You will thank me later.

Hey, no x-overs at the doors.
If you have an amplified system, like Bose, the wires go to an amplifier, and then to the door/back panel speakers. Note that in this case, the signal from the radio is of high impedance / low power (RCA level).

Al.

Old model, definitely switch it out for one that matches your speaker specs.
