Screen placement in a base model
I am looking to get a screen installed in the navi location of my car. Are there any certain screens that I should be looking at that fit better and what is the max size I can fit without having issues with the compartment opening. Thanks.

do you have an 04?
from what I understand thats not really doable...
03s can remove the storage bin from the unit, and the remaining hole fits a 7" screen perfectly.
from there farenheit fits in its case, and xenarc fits out of its case, both 7". not sure that farenheit has TS or VGA options, though they may. there are a bunch of others that fit and are cheaper, they came around after I researched my screen so I dont know about them.

I used the 7" Xenarc VGA Touchscreen. I have a 2004 Roadster non-nav. I had to buy the 2003 non-nav compartment. The Xenarc fits perfectly when you take it out of it's case. Here are some pictures of it in action.

FYI: The 2003 non-nav compartment door is a shade lighter than the 2004 door.

FYI: The 2003 non-nav compartment door is a shade lighter than the 2004. When the door is closed you can tell it's different. But it's mostly going to be open so I don't mind so much.

Check this screen out - it looks simple to install. It is a double din size so it just goes where the stock radio goes. It has the screen and dvd player in one box.
