help please

everytime i turn on stereo the thumping noise from the JL bass is very loud


is there anyway to get rid of this noise or turn it down????

um... its a subwoofer, thats what its supposed to do... are you looking to make the sub less loud? If so, what headunit do you have? My alpine has built in sub controls; if yours doesn't, most amps come with a **** you can attach to control bass...

 

not that noise

u know when u first turn it on it blast a loud noise

very loud and abnoxious 1 sec noise

like a big boom

 

try turning down the gain cuz it shouldnt be doing that at all... if that doesnt work then its your deck or install...

 

what kind of headunit do you have?
sounds like that you have a stock headunit and have a problem with remote. if that is the case, try to get hands on remote turn-on relay.
it should solve your problem.

 

if you get a big thump when your amp kicks on try turning down the gain, if that doesnt work it sounds like a bad install check your grounds

problem solved

the guy at circuit city installed the remote wire wrong

he probably hooked up the remote to the small amp of the sub somehow when ever ignition is on the amp also goes on even the alpine deck is off


so when i turn on the deck the amp already on so it kick in a loud noise - and that is badddddddd


so they had to rerun the new remote blue wire straight from the alpine deck and it stop
