Monitor Installation.. 12V Power wiring
Hello,
I am currently installing a Farenheit T-70001MHR.
My question is this....... Which Hot wire in the harness did you use to power your monitor?
I read one post that indicated using the light green wire on the far left of the "big" plug (factory plug).
This translates to being the red (hot) wire which is soon to be in use for my aftermarket HeadUnit.
Since my head unit will draw 14V max and the LCD monitor draws 7.9 V max, I am wondering if connecting them both to this wire would draw too many amps,.....and blow the fuse in the panel?
Another wire might work, but not sure which one.
Just start testing with VoltMeter? Well, maybe, but I would like to get it right the first time.
Am I better off to just run a seperate 12V power wire from the battery\ or a distribution block to power this LCD monitor?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
