Default Focal 165v Slim 6.5" components....

Sorry im sure theres a bunch of threads on these but the search is down and need fast response if possible plz.

I am going to purchase these tomorrow for the Z. Gonna be paying about 255 + shipping. Is this a good deal?

Also, am I making a mistake in going for these? Any other speakers in the 250-325 range I should be looking at instead?

BTW these will be driven by a kenwood HU and will eventually be powered by an alpine MRV-F540.

If anyone can give me any kind of response by tomorrow that would be great. Looking to get these by friday - this weekend im void of all duties and have time to install these+fatmat.

Thx in advance.

Focals are by far the best speakers on the market, and i don't say it because thats what i have in my car. But because i have owned MBquart, ADS, Boston Acustic, and Infiniti Perfects at one point or another and the Focals are definitely the best. Mine are hooked up to a Kenwood radio as well.

well i just picked up some 165 v2's at a local store. def over paid like whoa. 420 with tax. they go back tomorrow.

tested them out however, and was happy overall. i put it through my klipsch promedia comp setup. the tweeters def did not win me over.....but the woofer was real nice and clear.

so i think im gonna return this set and get some 165 k2's. from what ive heard around the net they seem unbeatable.

there goes my plans for the weekend......

=(

In that price range I would also consider Diamond Audio Hex series.
